The Journey

What began as a dance/drama ministry has grown into a close-knit national family of thousands of congregations and a broad humanitarian ministry encompassing primary and secondary schools, theological schools, children’s centers, family care for orphans and widows, health clinics, a maternity center, community development programs, outreaches, farming, well drilling, cottage industries, and more. Year by year, in prayer and faith our vision expands.

In 1997, Iris began building primary and secondary schools in Mozambique. In 2019, our schools taught over 5,000 students, who have held many of the highest test scores in the province, with four students earning full scholarships to Stanford University’s International Institutes. Now it is our great honor to provide far deeper academic opportunities at the university level — both for our own community and for all those abroad. As we desire a reputation for doing good, all the more we desire to bring faith in the Lord to this nation.
